If there’s one Atlanta designer who’s mastered elegant minimalism, it’s Kay Douglass. Her own home is a testament to less is more, especially with the incredible way in which she uses bold, saturated color to bring life to her rooms. With her own showroom in Charleston, it made sense to set down roots in the city and an 1840’s row house fit the ticket perfectly. Inspired by the chic apartments of Paris, she modernized the home with light and color for a really stunning contrast of new and old. It’s a wonderful lesson in restraint – without lacking any playfulness.
