Last summer I gathered with my high school friends to for an end-of-summer brunch to say goodbye before we all headed back to college for our sophomore year. I love hosting my friends for memorable moments around the table, so I went all out with the tablescape, inspired by an array of S’well water bottles in white, green, and blue. With varying sizes – 17oz as vases in the center and 9oz bottles for each place setting – the sleek bottles set a soothing color palette with both solid hues and patterns. I finished off the centerpiece with black river rocks and simple flower arrangements featuring white hydrangea (a favorite of mine) and spiky blue sea holly. I made the food easy and versatile with a yogurt bowl buffet, featuring local yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, and my favorite addition – edible flowers! I picked up a couple of boxes of fresh edible flowers from the herb section of my local Whole Foods, and let my friends garnish their bowls with these colorful blooms. They made each bowl so beautiful!
