I’ve known interior designer Nicole Gibbons since early on in my blogging years, and I always admired her style from afar. She recently took an exciting departure from her designer role to launch an amazing new paint company, Clare. With the millennial customer in mind, Nicole brought attractive branding, curated designer-approved colors, a friendly website, and consumer-friendly sample sheets that stick directly to your wall. With a greener product that’s low VOC, low odor, and has superior coverage, it’s a refreshing new take on the market with a forward-thinking approach to the paint-buying process. I worked with Clare to bring beautiful hue to our dining room walls and lower cabinets – I can’t wait to give you a peek of the transformation below!
One of the greatest things that Clare brings to the table is their large, stick-on samples that give you a clear, accurate view of what the paint colors will look like on the wall. Designers know it’s so important to get the color on the wall and watch it throughout the day since lighting from the sun and your indoor lighting will both change the hue throughout the day. I was able to sort through a number of beautiful Clare colors before settling on the soothing Headspace blue-green.
With my mom’s beautiful dining room chairs as the main element in the dining room, I wanted to choose a color that would coordinate with the beautiful floral fabric. Headspace fit the ticket perfectly! Flanking the opening to the living room, I painted the wooden bookcases that were in our old living room. Covered in Headspace, they now have a more built-in look that blends seamlessly with the walls.
In the kitchen, I chose a hue from their semigloss trim paint colors to cover the lower cabinets, creating some contrast in the room. The Seize the Gray color was the perfect warm grey to ground the room while modernizing the color scheme a bit. I can’t believe how different the kitchen feels with the cabinets painted. The before and after is astounding!
I am so in love with Clare’s collection of colors and the new way they approach the paint buying process. I can’t wait to share more of these two rooms as the decorating comes together!
