I typically don’t do much decorating for Halloween, but when I got the chance to set-up a vignette with Amazon Alexa I ended up having a lot of fun celebrating the holiday with a subtle variation on seasonal colors and a just a touch of spooky decor. I started with amber vases and a mercury-glass hurricane, with a slate cheeseboard at the center of the set-up. I foraged for plants in the neighborhood and found the perfect past-peak hydrangea and decorative grasses balanced by a maple brand with leaves just were starting to turn red. The red blooms were an inexpensive grocery store find, and tied the color palette together perfectly.
My black Oaxacan skull was key for giving the vignette true Halloween spirit – and it’s so chic in all black! I love it on the cheeseboard to keep things from getting too flat in the center and it matches the slate board so well. Check out Etsy to find similar skulls.
That’s my take on Halloween party decor… how do you like it? Make sure to check out my latest Instagram post for all the ways you can use Amazon Alexa to get spooky and entertain party guests this week!
