The last space to be completed in the master suite is the vanity room (here are the bedroom and bathroom designs), and it came together with the help of my favorite home decor superstore At Home! I took a trip to my local store to find a petite console, chair, and wall mirror, plus accessories to make the room perfectly styled. From a simple white parsons tray to the pretty blue and white canisters, I added functional accessories to create the perfect little beauty station for my momma. Lastly, I added one of my own Kevin Francis Design maze area rugs for a bold blue statement! Continue reading below to see what this space looked like before.
This room originally featured a second sink with an old built-in vanity matching the one in the bathroom that was replaced with a double-sink vanity. With two sinks in the bathroom, it made sense to remove the plumbing from this space and keep all the water-related bathroom functions in one space. I removed the door between these two spaces, opening it up into a two-part suite with the new vanity room for hair, skincare, and makeup, and the second space for the sinks, toilet, and shower. Our waterproof flooring made it possible to keep a cohesive material to unite the two rooms, and the door from the bedroom to the vanity room keeps the whole suite private when needed.
I added one of my favorite Josh Young portraits to the console for an unexpected moment of whimsy. It adds a nice pop of yellow to complement the blue velvet on the chair.
These canisters are perfect for holding essentials like cotton swabs and cotton pads, and come in both short and tall heights.
I love the visual interest the Anatolia rug brings to the room in Blueberry. The 4×6 size fits perfectly in the space and is so soft to walk across!
This water hyacinth laundry basket is a great find since it comes with a top for keeping dirty clothes out of sight…
It was so much fun pulling this vanity room together with At Home‘s huge home decor selection. It’s the perfect mix of beauty and functionality!
