This year’s New Year New Room Challenge is stretching out one more week so luckily I’ve got extra time to prepare before the big reveal next Tuesday! I’ve had lots of exciting furniture deliveries come in over the past week so I’ve been busy assembling pieces and placing decor in my apartment study. I’ve started hanging out in here in the evenings and it’s been so cozy! I wanted to give you a look inside the room at some of the design moments coming together and also give you a shoppable design board for the accessories defining the space. I love styling and these details are really pulling everything together! See it all below.
(Grey armchair and velvet pillow)
(Goldleaf bookcase and black task lamp)
My design plans were thrown were a loop when the sectional was delivered and I discovered it came in the neutral colorway instead of black! Although my heart was set on the dramatic black upholstery, it turned out to be completely out of stock so I decided to stick with the pale neutral that came and tie in black more through the accent pieces and decor. Not only was Home Depot’s customer service amazing (they extended a partial refund), I’m liking this light neutral beige now that I’ve reconfigured the accessories.
It’s the very last week of updates before the final room reveals next week! Check-in on all the other NYNR participants below:

Definitely did a double take when I saw the light sofa but that makes sense. Those kinds of things happen unfortunately. The space is honestly looking STUNNING. And I do really love the way the mirror looks atop the wallpaper.
