Christmas came early this year and I’m so thrilled to share my playful apartment Christmas tree along with a great group of 25 bloggers who are all sharing their trees this week. If you’re visiting from another blog, welcome! My name is Kevin and I am a student at Cornell University up in Ithaca, NY, but I live in Atlanta, GA. I share home decor and entertaining projects here on Thou Swell and just released a rug collection under Kevin Francis Design. It’s my first year living off campus in an apartment, and I have had so much fun decorating our living room and bedrooms. I wanted the Christmas tree to tie into the playful tropical style in our living area, so I used a whimsical mix of ornaments and stuck with a pink and gold palette to match our decor. See all the tree’s details and make sure to visit the other bloggers sharing their trees today too, at the bottom of the post!
I stopped by At Home and explored their holiday collections to find a lot of my ornaments! These pretty birds are part of their Lavish & Luxe collection and the funky tassel ornaments I found in their Cozy Traditions collection. You can explore all the styles on their holiday page!
Since our living area is pretty small, I looked for a slim tree that would fit by the window but still have good height! This Virginia Pine Tree from Target’s (amazing) Wondershop was perfect. I also found the tree topper there (it was hard to choose between this starburst).
I’m always a fan of classic balls, but I loved adding unique touches like different color birds, tassels, and the fun beaded zebra (did you spot it?). Make sure to check out all the other bloggers’ trees below!
