Actors Jensen and Danneel Ackles’ Austin abode is a gorgeous take on worldly, Southern maximalism. The inviting layers in this house create a vision of “comforting yet exotic familiarity” for the family, who wanted to make sure you didn’t feel like you had to tip-toe around the furnishings. The details are artful and eccentric – and many of the pieces have great stories they bring to the rooms. In the two-story porch (possibly my favorite space), the long table is made from a 2,000-year-old cypress log that had sunk and was buried on the West Bank of New Orleans. The house has big Texas personality with a dose of Austin’s creative spirit – step inside below!
