If we are going to apply gender norms to furniture collections, it might be said that CB2’s latest collaboration with GQ provides a masculine counterpoint to their flower-filled collection with goop last year. I don’t particularly like assigning masculine or feminine labels to decor, but their newest collab definitely approached the design with a heavier hand. The collection features hefty furniture, leather upholstery, and a lack of color – perhaps a little too concerned with appealing to the overtly masculine customer, but sleek nonetheless. While I am not a huge fan of leather upholstery or black metal, there were a few pieces that I thought captured the modern, metropolitan aesthetic that lies at the core of the GQ brand well. I gathered my favorite pieces from this new collaboration below – check them out and let me know what you think of this collection!
