A classic, coastal twin bedroom with wicker headboards and a sea glass lamp on Thou Swell @thouswellblog(via New York Times)

Twin beds aren’t just for cute kids’ rooms – they can make a sophisticated pairing in guest rooms as well, and while petite, can pack a design punch with the power of two. With double the impact, choosing a pair of twins beds can create a great focal point in a room, and the symmetry set up by the two beds often makes a pleasing layout. The pink bedroom in my father’s house is actually an Airbnb rental, doubling as a great guest bedroom when my sisters aren’t home. I love a good twin kids bedroom as well – I grew up with twin beds and loved the duality of my own bedroom for sleepovers, forts, and jumping on the beds! See some of my favorite bedrooms featuring twin beds and my retail favorites after the jump.
