While I love the light, airy layers of neutrals in my current living room, I will always remember the tropical getaway that was my college apartment with fondness. I have such a soft spot for lush leafy patterns! This tropical house in South Carolina is a perfect example of a flora-inspired design in its natural habitat. Inspired by the swampy landscape in Palmetto Bluff where this house is located, designer Charlotte Barnes brought the wild outdoors in with a riot of color and pattern – and nods to local wildlife in the wallpaper patterns. I love the bold mix in this stylish Southern home and the interest all of these colorful layers bring to the design. See more below!
