In Terrace Drive Project, I’ve mainly been making changes to the surfaces in the apartment like the new paint colors and area rugs, but in the dark green bedroom, I got to introduce some new furniture to the mix to really polish up the space. I turned to AllModern for mid-century-inspired design that would complement the existing headboard and sourced the perfect nightstands, lumbar pillow, and unique artwork for the room. I also found a great flush mount light fixture for a much-needed upgrade from the cheap “boob light” in the center of the ceiling. This bedroom feels so handsome and grown-up now, full of stylish accent pieces!
I’m in love with this framed bull photograph I found that adds a really unique touch above the bed. It’s the perfect size to center above the headboard and pulls in some of the bright blue that’s on the border of the duvet cover and shams. The pink in the background also ties in with the new lumbar pillow on the bed!
These classic grey nightstands are one of my favorite finds from AllModern. I used the same ones in white for Meghan’s bedroom. The gold accents add the perfect hint of warmth and the lines are so clean on this piece while adding a little storage with the convenient bedside drawer.
With dark green walls and velvet curtains, the new bedroom design feels so much cozier. Lighting was also a struggle in this room before, and having tall table lamps on either side of the bed, plus a much sleeker flush mount above really helps create a more ambient glow at night.
The lighting is all awesome in the real room, but the widgets don’t list the white with horizontal (gold?) lines in the body of the lamp?
OHH I want that lamp!!! Sorry, Ernesto. Not that one.
