Now that you’ve been introduced to my mom’s new modern Westside townhouse, I’m happy to share the first space I’ve officially tackled in the house, the entryway. Since this is the first space you see when you walk in – for both my mom coming in from the garage and for visitors through the front door, I really wanted to polish this space up first. I found modern entryway decor from a clean and classic console table to fun plug-in sconces from AllModern to outfit this space and make it a chic little vignette. See how it all came together below!
Whenever I work on projects in my mom’s space I like to create a mix of new and old that reflects her style. This silverplate coffee server is an old piece that’s a bit obsolete now but makes a great sculptural statement here in the entry. I love how the unpolished silver has a grey finish that matches the table and gives the space some patina!
I opted for a Moroccan-style mirror for something with an interesting silhouette that would add some worldly personality to the mix of styles in the space. While still contemporary, the curves in the mirror frame tie into the globe shades on the sconces and round ottomans below.
After seeing the transformation of the space, how do you like the new modern entryway decor? I think it represents a mix of classic and contemporary we’re aiming for in the rest of the house. Check out the whole entryway furniture selection at AllModern!
