Sometimes the best place for lamps is the most inconvenient place to stash a cord or find a wall outlet! Table lamps and sconces are absolutely imperative for creating an inviting, glowy atmosphere with face-level lighting that’s much more flattering than overhead, but it can be tricky to incorporate lamps in all the right places. Enter Modern Lantern, a company I was excited to discover because they’re seemingly the only place to shop classic lamps without cords (they run on rechargeable batteries). While their lamps and wall sconces are a bit pricier than your typical lamp, they are so handy when you really can’t plug one in. As I’ve shared before, the kitchen is an unexpectedly great place for a table lamp, and so is a dining table or console table. There’s also the odd side table in your living room that might need a lamp but is far away from the wall – all of these scenarios are perfect for a cordless lamp. It’s also helpful when you don’t want that cord in sight at all! See some table lamp vignettes and faves from the Modern Lantern website below…
