I am excited to bring you another Queer-Eye-inspired room makeover with the brand’s modern furniture collection available at Walmart. Earlier this year I transformed a sunroom for my best friend and her father, and this time I’m tackling a home office that’s been in heavy use over the past few months. It’s been the command central for my dad’s girlfriend Janet, who is an art history professor. With all of her classes moved to a virtual format, she had to quickly adapt to online teaching and the office now serves as both her room for teaching and also continues to be a hub for the research she does on indigenous South American art. I redesigned the space with these needs in mind using sleek new additions from the Queer Eye furniture line that add style and functionality to the room. See how the space transformed below!

The West Midtown project living room is finally feeling like a polished, cohesive space thanks to some stunning new modern additions from one of my favorite furniture stores, Article. You might remember the amazing sectional that defines my apartment seating area from the same company. I knew their high-quality, modern furniture would be the best counterpoints to my mom’s antiques and their Fall/Winter 2020 collection did not disappoint. Not only did I find the perfect sofa and armchair for this room, but I also accented with a handsome mirror, planter, and side table to pull the space together with some beautiful textures. See how it all came together below!

I am excited to join in on the My Home Style Christmas tree blog hop to share Meghan’s apartment living room design with her holiday decor! I shared a glimpse of the dining nook in this post but haven’t yet shown the other side of the room, including this new sectional and my Anatolia rug in blush pink. You might remember her Christmas tree last year, and the color scheme has definitely stayed consistent with her new apartment featuring shades of blue and pink. I love leaning into the jewel-tones in Meghan’s apartment, so the tree is full of navy blue and emerald green mixed with this year’s addition of champagne-gold tones. I also added boxwood wreaths to the windows for classic greenery that softens space. See more views of Meghan’s living room and my new decor additions below!

Two weekends ago I paid a visit to my good friend who just moved to Nashville, and had such a great time getting to know her new city! I’ve only visited Nashville once before, but this time I got more familiar with this approachable city’s cute neighborhoods. Music City is full of interesting history, friendly people, and incredible nightlife! I stayed in the Noelle, a boutique hotel part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, and part of the MakeReady Experience group. This historic hotel was built in the 1930’s and has such amazing historical details. The hotel is completely renovated and I loved how the modern additions blend with the Art Deco architectural influences.

I didn’t have to go far for a local experience – the hotel has a speakeasy-style hidden bar, rooftop bar, lobby bar, full-service restaurant, and the cutest cafe for a quick coffee or bite to eat. I absolutely loved being steps away from historic Printers Alley, and just a few blocks from Broadway (the center of nightlife in Nashville).
