A few weeks ago, I flew out to Fort Worth to help get my little sister Grace get settled into her first apartment. As a rising Junior, it’s her first year living off-campus, so I wanted to make sure she had a stylish and comfortable place to come home to after her long days as a dance major! I started out with a very blank slate and gave her college bedroom a completely new look while keeping it light, fresh, and relaxing. I found fabulous removable chinoiserie wallpaper from Tempaper that was perfect for a subtle accent wall, and the coziest bath and bedding essentials from The Company Store to complete the look. Inspired by a Parisian salon, this high-rise condo in Chicago was wrapped in a sophisticated dusty pink wall color and filled with an eclectic assortment of contemporary furniture. The wall color is Farrow & Ball’s Peignoir, which I’ve color-matched to Behr’s Grey Ashlar paint color. It’s a chic, ashy backdrop for the pops of bright brass, pink, and celadon blue in this space. From the curved velvet sofa to the chunky white armchair, the emphasis in this sitting room is on striking silhouettes. See how I’ve pulled the look together below!

PLANTING AN INDOOR COUNTERTOP HERB GARDEN WITH PLASTI DIP CRAFT

Spray paint is one of the best tricks you can use for repurposing old items or creating a cohesive collection from things that are mismatched. My last project with Plasti Dip Craft transformed vintage flatware and glasses into a matching blue picnic set with its convenient rubberized coating, and this time I’m creating an indoor herb garden with an assortment of pots. This application is a great example of how the rubber coating is helpful for things you don’t want to scratch or skid, and I’ll always love the fact that you can peel the coating off if you want to change up the design.
